Then and Now…

Last week, we saw my oh-so-interesting answers from the ripe old age of 17. Today, let’s take an enlightening journey into my life right now.

You’re excited, aren’t you? I know, it’s hard to contain myself!

My hair colour is: reddish-brown, but I desperately need a color job. Not black, which I did do shortly after graduation. Not blue streaks, or purple, which I’ve also done. And not a platinum pixie, which is another former hairstyle.
My hair style is: long. Probably the longest I’ve ever had. Most days it is curly, because I rarely have time to blow dry it straight.
My favourite brand of makeup is: Bare Essentials.
My “fashionable” item is: Any of my hats. I pretty much rock them.
My favourite outfit is: Jeans, a fun top, and heels. With lots of jewelry.
My favourite colour is: Grey.
I drive a: Dodge Durango. No car payment is a good thing.
On a Saturday I go: to work at the store. Some days I love it, some days I hate it. What else is new?
On a Saturday night I go: home. Occasionally Steve and I go out, but mostly it’s just family movie night.
On a Sunday I go: usually nowhere. It’s the only day of the week that Steve and I both have off, so we like to spend it together at home.
Monday-Friday I go: crazy. (Wait, that happens on Saturday and Sunday, too!)
My best friend(s) is/are: Steve, of course. I’ve also learned that you don’t have to talk to your best friends everyday, and they can live all over the country. They can be old friends (Hello, HS girls!) or new. And you can totally have more than one.
My favourite place to go out is: anyplace in Park City.
My favourite subject at school is: art or photography.
When I grow up I want to be: unpredictable. But I’m not planning on growing up anytime soon, so I’d like to be unpredictable now.
My favourite drink is: Dr Pepper with lemon or Mountain Dew.
My favourite food is: anything loaded with sugar.
My favourite shop is: very dependent on the day. I have a very quirky sense of style, so I shop many places.
I want to marry: my average height, not-so-dark, super handsome Steve. I hit the jackpot.
My favourite actor/actress is: Gerard Butler. Yum.
My favourite band is: Green Day. Still. Huh.
My favourite TV programme is: Friends.
The one thing I want to do but can’t is: go to bed at a decent hour. These late nights are killing me!
My most used mode of transport is: the Durango. Luckily, since the PT Cruiser is dorky.
If I had all the money in the world I would: travel. A lot.
I wish I could visit: Ireland.
My favourite sport is: swimming.
This fall I: have no idea what I’m going to do.
At Halloween I dressed up as: a mummy, a 50’s girl, and a 60’s secretary.
I recently saw: ‘2012’ and thought it was: cliche and predictable. But still reasonably entertaining.
I am reading: a trashy Nora Roberts romance.

And, since I was lucky enough to have breakfast on my birthday last week with two of my best friends (at 17 AND now!), here’s another photo for your enjoyment:

Don’t forget to jump on over to Mel’s blog to catch up with her!

I’ll be posting later on today with the winner of my Family Tree giveaway!
